Plaster and drywall textures are a specialty trade that not only require extensive skill, but also a natural artistic ability. Homes built pre 1980 were constructed of either sheetrock or plaster, and most everything within that era contained decorative textures of some kind. The most common texture styles of the pre-1980’s homes were usually swirls and stipples on the ceilings. Soon after that the “popcorn” ceiling texture was briefly very popular, and than almost everything in today’s construction is a “knock down” style texture. Please see the images below for just a few different styles we commonly deal with.
The Drywall King can apply, remove, repair and blend ALL types of textures.
